All rights reserved. Later on in the first week of deployment, an arrestee was able to gain access to his cell phone while in the rear seat. He proceeded to call in a fake report of a shooting, in an attempt to be let go so deputies would respond to the higher-priority call. The deputy on the scene was able to instantly review the footage on the MDC and cancel the report of the shooting incident so resources were not wasted. "I always knew that the Axon system would prove invaluable to our agency with respect to evidence gathering, transparency, and general liability," says Lt. Hale.
