Urban areas have suffered a greater impact with
unemployment than rural areas.
Vietnam Institute for Economic and Policy Research has
warned that GDP is likely to experience negative growth
this year. It has been estimated that during the first 7
months of 2020, over 7.8 million workers were impacted
by Covid 19 by either having their working hours
reduced or losing their jobs.
