The National Planning and Development Agency has
warned that unemployment could reach 9.2% or 13
million people by the end of the year.
As of June, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce
(KADIN) expects that GDP will decrease by 6% in the
April to June Quarter. They also estimate that 6.4
million people have lost their jobs due to Coronavirus
and that further layoffs will occur before August.
