13 DENVER CATHOLIC | AUGUST 22-SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 Unless otherwise directed by a local health department or state directive, there will not be a restriction on the number of students in a classroom space. Schools are asked to ensure 3-6 ft. distancing is present between stu- dents. When this is not possible, other confi gurations need to be explored. It is recommended in situations where schools have the building space and personnel, to separate 6 ft. and divide classes into smaller cohorts and have teachers move from class to class. If schools cannot keep 6 ft., other con- trol measures need to be used. Schools are asked to implement screening processes for all teachers, staff , visitors, volunteers, and students that include: temperature and symptom checks at the start of the day Parents, teachers, and staff are the fi rst line of defense. As such, they're asked to support their community's eff orts by monitoring their own health and symptoms, as well as those of their children. If you or your child/ren feel ill, or are showing symptoms such as a fever, gastrointestinal issues, rashes, and/or severe cough in combination with other symptoms, please stay home. St. Isidore Catholic Curriculum is a fulltime distance learning option for students in kindergarten through 8th grade, managed by the Offi ce of Catholic Schools and available for any family who may not want to send their children to in-school learning this upcoming school year. This program is intended to be a support for local schools and enable those families to remain enrolled at their current school during the pandemic, but to receive all curriculum and instruction digitally. Per the Colorado Department of Public Health's recently issued guide- lines, parents and guardians should consult the following checklist to determine whether to send their child to school if they are displaying symp- toms of sickness.
