SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2020 ■ 33 after leading all ACC players and the na- tion's freshmen in blocked shots, averaging 2.86 per game. The biggest question facing Keatts entering the 2020-21 season will be deciding who han- dles point guard responsibilities. Now without graduated guards Markell Johnson and C.J. Bryce, who combined for 26.1 points and 4.6 assists per game last year, the Wolfpack head coach will have three four-star freshmen to choose from to run his up-tempo system. True freshmen guards Cam Hayes of Greensboro, N.C., and Shakeel Moore from Monroe, N.C., arrived in the 2020 class this summer, while Dereon Seabron spent last season learning and practicing with the team while redshirting. Hayes is a traditional pass-first point guard and was ranked the highest of the three coming out of at Greensboro Day School, checking in as the No. 76 overall prospect in the land according to Rivals.com. Moore, who was listed No. 115 by Rivals, is highly touted for his high motor and elite on-ball defending ability. Meanwhile, Seabron is the most versatile of the group standing 6-7 as a point-forward option and was ranked 124th overall in the class of 2019. "State has options and I think it's going to be fluid," Geisinger said of the point guard situation. "You can see it change from who starts the game to who closes the game. I see those lineups changing over the course of a full season, but State has guys that can play on the basketball, which is helpful." The Wolfpack also welcomes in forward Nick Farrar, center Ebenezer Dowuona and power forward Jaylon Gibson, all three-star members of the 2020 recruiting class that could see time this season. "It's going to be tough; the ACC is going to be really, really good next season," Geis- inger noted. "But I feel pretty strong about the pieces that State has coming in." ■ He's almost certainly their best player. … He was objectively one of the 10 or 15 best players in the league, and he was phenomenal on both ends of the court.
