88% of students due to graduate in Spring 2021
had an informal job offer This is approximately
5% lower than at the same time last year.
The Japanese labor ministry estimates that 20K
university and high school graduates don't

In a recent survey by the Japanese Cabinet Office,
34.5% of respondents had done some telework
since the beginning of the pandemic compared

The unemployment rate would be higher if the
furlough scheme in Japan had not been extended
to December.
