Latvia has spent $2.6 billion USD in an attempt to combat the impact of Covid-19. The key economic policies in
place include:
• Wage subsidies for sick-leave or downtime due to Covid-19
• Tax relief
• Financial support for sectors impacted the most

Travellers outside of the EU are restricted from
entering Latvia for non-essential travel. On
entry, all travellers from countries with a high
rate of infection need to self-isolate for 10 days.
Restrictions have been applied by municipality
depending on the rate of infection. In these
areas older students have been moved to on-
line learning and there are restrictions on non-
essential shops and services.
