As Newark and Sherwood Homes began to see the full scope of what M-Files could do, they began investigating how else it could be used to streamline processes across the organisation. Previously disparate systems have now been connected to M-Files, such as Careline, which provides emergency assistance to tenants. Careline connects a pendant worn by an individual to a central phone line through which they call for help. This involves the management of related contracts, invoicing information, confidential personal information and more. Previously, this critical information was stored in a network folder and it was challenging to manage and cross reference information. "With M-Files we can quickly find and verify contract information which has helped us improve our invoicing process " said McIntosh. THE NEXT STEPS ON THE DIGITAL JOURNEY Housing is a highly regulated sector and the safety of tenants is the top priority. One of the critical processes Newark and Sherwood Homes manage is ensuring that property certificates are in place and in date for its properties, and to be able to provide proof of servicing. "One of the next projects we are looking to address with M-Files is to streamline the process of monitoring the regulatory requirements for the properties we manage," added McIntosh. "M-Files will alert us to properties where certifications are due for renewal and manage the supporting documentation effectively, helping to ensure the safety of our tenants and meeting regulatory obligations."
