Understanding OPNFV 88 Let's discuss each tool in further detail. Collaboration – JIRA/Confluence OPNFV uses Confluence Wiki for community collaboration, and JIRA for bug and issue (epics and user stories) tracking and to assign issues to contributors. The combination of a Wiki page for each project, weekly meetings (open to public), JIRA stories and some additional tools described below, provides for an open and transparent way for any individual to contribute. OPNFV JIRA Source Code Management and Code Review OPNFV uses three tools for source code management and code reviews: Git, Gerrit and Github. Source Code Management – Git Code, scripts, template files and source for documentation that is automatically generated for all OPNFV projects are kept in Git repositories. Git is a distributed open source revision control system originally developed by Linus Torvalds to maintain the golden repository of a project (trunk) and manage all the branches (forks). Developers can create a branch from trunk, work on their patch, and then submit their changes to be committed to trunk. An example OPNFV Git repository
