Dynamic problems require dynamic solutions Maxar leverages 40 years of industry leadership to offer the gold standard of satellite access ground stations. The majority of commercial satellite access programs on the market force partners to sacrifice latency, autonomy, security and mission volume. For the last half century, every buyer of commercial satellite access has had to accept these degradations or pay the billions of dollars required to launch their own constellation of imaging satellites. Maxar's Direct Access Program offers a dynamic ground station solution that gives program partners joystick control of the entire Maxar constellation without compromising quality of access. DYNAMIC PROBLEMS REQUIRE DYNAMIC SOLUTIONS white paper info@maxar.com maxar.com When it comes to satellite access, latency refers to the amount of time that passes between tasking a satellite collection and receiving the resulting data. Most satellite imagery providers offer high-latency access, meaning customers will have to wait up to a week aer placing an order to receive usable imagery. Customers enrolled in Maxar's Direct Access Program can update tasking plans up to 15 minutes before an imaging event and receive data in real time aer collection. Saving time and staying flexible The Direct Access Facility provided to program partners offers full multi-mission capability and unsurpassed autonomy. This is made possible by including an antenna system, order management, mission management, mission planning, contact management, production management, and imagery hosting and dissemination. Partners are able to manage the complete imagery life cycle with joystick control to maximize yield against their own geospatial requirements. Guaranteed autonomy Every Direct Access Facility uses encrypted and confidential planning, tasking and delivery mechanisms to ensure a secure end-to-end workflow. All of these measures are aligned with NIST SP 800-171 security controls. Beyond this, the Direct Access Facility mitigates risk by being an on-premises solution that is behind a firewall. Putting an emphasis on security Every Direct Access Program contract includes a service-level agreement that guarantees dedicated capacity and delivery timelines. With the addition of six WorldView Legion satellites to the Maxar constellation in 2021, the program will have the technical capability of imaging over 100 distinct zones in under 24 hours. ID&I customers need to support their critical decision-making with access to fresh collections. By offering the highest commercially available tasking priority, Direct Access Program ensures the viability of partner missions, regardless of how intense the image demands are.
