5 February, 2021 The New Normal in Hiring for Manufacturing Operations and Logistics has tripled since pre- COVID, driving demand for blue-collar and hourly on- site workers up 286%. This trend is only increasing and not predicted to plateau or decrease anytime soon. On-site hourly jobs are now more genericized in their requirements – so the skill set of a manufacturing worker can now be applied to jobs in distribution centers etc. – increasing competition for talent. Competition for hourly workers now coming from call centers and other roles in virtual and less physically-demanding environments.
