As such, most organizations require that SAP workloads such as SAP CRM, SAP ERP, and SAP S/4HANA be protected by a disaster recovery plan with stringent recovery objectives – so that these workloads sustain minimum downtime and data loss. There are different approaches to disaster recovery. Traditional on-premises to on-premises disaster recovery approaches for protecting SAP workloads require duplication of infrastructure, operating systems (OS), SAP software, and SAP database logs, as well as other third-party applications, rendering it a highly expensive IT project. In addition to incurring high costs, this approach has another disadvantage: it can replicate only database log files – sufficient for recovering the SAP environment – but not system and application files and configuration, which is critical to recovering the entire machine and application state. CloudEndure Disaster Recovery enables a more modern approach to protecting your SAP workloads: cloud-based disaster recovery into AWS. CloudEndure Disaster Recovery not only leverages AWS to significantly reduce disaster recovery infrastructure costs, it also enables rapid recovery of the SAP environment and the entire machine state by replicating database, application, and system files. This means that operations can continue smoothly with fully functioning workloads. In cases where uninterrupted business continuity is critical, this difference means that you can affordably achieve recovery times of minutes, rather than hours or days.
