GUESTLIST 5 7 Issue 52 / 2013 NEWS FLASH HIP HOP Action Bronson @Koko I still done know what "Strictly For My Jeeps" means, but that won't stop me hitting Koko and catching the Action- he's massive. Doors at seven. REVIEWS: HOUSE Lovebox @ Victoria Park 7th June ATC presents @ Shoreditch House with Bondax, XXXY, Micachu & Tirzah, Snakehips, Ross Allen One thing is for sure, summer is here and London is buzzing. The rooftop at Shoreditch House is perhaps the place to take someone in summer. The outdoor areas are kitted out with cushioned sun loungers as big a double bed, and the inside looks like a tropical beach house in the Maldives. There is even a heated swimming pool. Shoreditch House is usually off limits to non-members, but our good friends at ATC Management are throwing a party showcasing some of the hottest talent in UK electronic music. Bondax's ascent has shown no signs of slowing since their popular release 'Gold', remixed by Snakehips and played out in clubs all over the country. Their positive style of soul sprinkled feelgood pop was a great soundtrack to watching the sun set behind London's skyline. Selection by Snakehips was adventurous and put a smile on everyone's faces. UK Garage's arm waving revival has been due in part to Manchester based producer XXXY's propulsive steppy sound and he did not disappoint. All of this complemented by soul veteran Ross Allen. This speaks for itself. Annie Mac's making an appearance – so should you. Catch some vocal house from Disclosure and some weirder stuff from FlyLo. INDIE Pet Shop Boys @ The O2 Kicking off their 'Electric' tour, come check out the cerebral anti-rock duo doing what they do best. DNB Jamais Vu @ The Horse & Groom every Sunday. 8th June Heroes @ Egg A big night was announced last Saturday. From 10pm to 11am, it was going to be an intense and electric party with a lot of fantastic Djs including Len Faki, Oliver $, Markus Suckut, him_self_her! Given that the party was going to last a moment, we arrived around 12 - the Egg wasn't full yet. Actually, some rooms just opened. The sound was good, The vibe started to pop off at 1am, Markus Suckut showed his talent and everybody in the room was feeling the urge. That was the first step towards a crazy party! I decided to go to middle floor's room, Him_self_her were starting to play and... Wow. It was just amazing, it was impossible not to move, not to dance. Around 5am, I went up to the top floor to enjoy the sunrise, relax and thought "damn! That was a good party!" 8th June Louisahhh, Russ Chimes, Gesaffelstein. Jeremy Underground Paris @ XOYO XOYO never fails to disappoint, but this night was truly unforgettable – the club was the fullest I've ever seen it, with full on, back to back sweatiness on the dancefloor. The crowd frantically competed to get as close as possible to the DJ's. Louisahhh's!!! start to the night made it clear that this would not be suitable for the faint-hearted, .The dancefloor went mad as she casually dropped Tom Rowlands "Nothing But Pleasure" pre 12:15am. Next up was Russ Chimes. Things were to get even darker and dirtier still with the arrival of the main event, Gesaffelstein. An enigmatic Frenchman. His sets have become infamous for their dancefloor destroying capacities and this night was no different. Wrap up your weekend right! Come to our official party with Fabio and the rest of the regulars. Start your week horrendously hanging. You don't want to miss this. REGGAE The Black seeds @ O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire The Reggae group from New Zealand are visiting London as part of their 'Dust and Dirt' tour. The album came out last year and it is definitely worth a listen. Don't miss them on the 18th July. See who's been dropping in with us! DJ Monki Cookie Monsta & Funtcase Dj Day YES... WE GET YOU INTO CLUBS
