WELCOME TO Rome!
On a Budget
PARTYING
Brancaleone
If you venture up into the northern suburbs
you'll find Brancaleone. Once a squat it's
now a proper night club with a gallery, a cinema and a library(!) Expect to hear Italy's finest EDM with a bit of reggae thrown in for
good measure.
Goa
The house of Italian house. Kinda classy but
its worth it since its home to Martin Solveig
and Riccardo Villalobos .
Rock Castle Cafe
Dark, narrow disco dungeon pub with a
medieval feel. One for the rockers.
DRINKING
Frebi and Frizoni
An ex-garage converted into a bar. A massive selection of cocktails and FREE salad
and dip with your drink makes this place a
must if you're after a literal free lunch.
Druid's Rock
This is everything you need to know
about Druid's Rock - it's an Irish bar that
has a happy hour that goes on til 8pm
every day of the week. Awesome.
Mr Pucci
Don't be fooled by the fancy décor, you
can afford Mr Pucci. Yes, you.
SLEEPING
The Beehive
Clean, simple and cheap. £21 a night will
get you a basic dorm bed which should
provide relative luxury if you're the type
that usually sacrifices comfort/hygiene for
extra beer money.
Hostel Beautiful
Brilliant location, Great price (from around
£10/night)
Make this hostel an obvious
choice for those watching their wallets.
Camping Village Roma
If you're down for camping this place
starts at just £18 per night. It's only 15 minutes from the centre of Rome so you'll be
saving money on transport costs.
EATING
Pizzarium
Amazing Napoli style pizza made on site
with a choices of toppings from pea and
prosciutto to ham and stracciatella – sold
by weight! Enough said.
La Nuova Cantinetta
The trattoria. Cheap, traditional and laid
back – all the words you want when you're
thinking about Italian food.
Dagnino
Hidden away in an alley somewhere slightly off central Rome, Dagino does pastries
and coffee with an awesomely (cheap)
Italian twist.
