Akenza AG, Regina-Kägi-Strasse 11, CH- Zurich, Switzerland +41 44 309 18 18 set of predefi ned rules are met. Typically, an alert can be gen- erated when a critical threshold is reached, for example, an SMS/Email notifi cation to the responsible person. Alternative- ly, the alert can trigger a visual notifi cation in the room, e.g. the change of color of a connected light. In an ideal case, the Akenza infrastructure is connected to the building manage- ment system which controls the window blinds and ventilation system. If a more subtle approach is required (e.g. in class- rooms), the reading of the data can be made on-demand via a Bluetooth beacon placed on the desk of the teacher. Of course, CO 2 levels are not the only parameter that can be monitored in indoor environments. Temperature and humidity levels are also valuable inputs to ensure optimal quality of air. This is also supported by most of the CO 2 sensors of the shelf. Fostering a healthier environment in schools and ofi ces is key to ensuring the wellbeing of students and the whole work- force as well as keeping high productivity levels. fi g.2a Air quality in classrooms during a single day fi g.2b Air quality in classrooms over several days About Akenza AG & Akenza Core Akenza is a Swiss technology provider ofering IoT solutions with a wide range of integrated services helping businesses and cities with their digital transformation.
