Business value Solution Opportunity AGRINT PARTNERS WITH MULTITECH TO DETECT INVASIVE SPECIES USING LoRaWAN ® • The IOtree reduces costs for farmers by increasing pesticide management and decreasing the number of damaged trees. • Agrint developed highly sensitive sensors to detect invasive pests, such as the Red Palm Weevil, to prevent infestation in trees. • Agrint develops these sensors using LoRaWAN technology because of the range, battery life, and low-cost it offers. • The IOtree protects date palms, ornamental palms, oil palms, and coconut palms. • Invasive species cause harm to the environment, human health, and human wealth. • The global impact of invasive species is estimated at 1.4 trillion dollars in damage (roughly 5% of the world economy). • Agrint was facing the issue of having pest detecting technology, but they needed an IoT system to be paired with it. To solve this issue, Agrint partnered with MultiTech, using the MultiConnect Conduit, MultiConnect mCard, and MultiConnect mDot. "When Agrint was looking for an IoT partner who could provide them with reliable and secure technology, they chose MultiTech. MultiTech provides reliable devices, outstanding support, and advanced cloud services for free." – Tomar Touanti, CRO, Agrint
