Business value Solution Opportunity MAXTRACK'S GPS AND VEHICLE TRACKING FOR CAR INSURANCE IN BRAZIL ● The answer was to scale Maxtrack's LoRaWAN® solution (devices + device management + data analytics platform) as a solution to mitigate the 2G network shutdown. ● Maxtrack utilized GSM/LoRa enabled vehicles to act as repeaters to provide connectivity outside network coverage footprint. ● Ramp GOS2 offered very cheap tracking and roadside assistance cover to those with no insurance or protection at all. ● Retail smart hubs were created to work as "last mile" LoRaWAN® gateways to guarantee coverage. ● In Brazil there are 65.8m cars and motorcycles, 5m small trucks and 2m trucks. 70% of these are concentrated in 5 states mainly within the state capitals. ● Every year 650K vehicles (1% of fleet) are stolen. Car insurance is not mandatory in Brazil and 76% of the fleet have no insurance, protection or roadside assistance.
