Business value Solution Opportunity 3,000 SKYSENS SENSORS INSTALLED IN ISTANBUL AIRPORT OPEX savings at Istanbul Airport in predictive maintenance, asset monitoring and energy consumption. • Although infrastructure is closely monitored, elements such as condition, location, operational status, or weather maintenance are important factors to measure as well. • Skysens has deployed 3,000 LoRaWAN® sensors to do so, and there is a plan to install a total of 10,000 in future phases. • The sensors benefit airport tenants and airlines in locating vehicles, personnel, and luggage without GPS needed. There are OPEX savings in predictive maintenance, accurate asset monitoring, and reduced energy consumption. • In Istanbul, a new airport is being built as a hub between Asia, Africa, and Europe. So far, the first of 4 phases has been finished which consists of 2 runways and a terminal for 90 million passengers per year. • The new airport is going to be 76.5 million square meters, 35 km away from the city center, and is planned for 300 destinations in 100+ countries.
