A5GARD – ACHIEVING 5G SERVICE ASSURANCE IN THE RESIDENTIAL DOMAIN

The deployment of technologies to address the societal
challenges in the rural areas, foremost e-health for the
elderly, is urgent and much needed.

The common goals and values create a unique innovation
platform where experts from many areas are brought
together, often creating a new whole and improving the
contributed work. Knowledge is shared, and new insights
and innovations are created.

The project also focuses on coordinating standardization
efforts to gain critical mass and steer the development to
increase competitiveness and social good.

Project A5 GARD brings together expertise on optical
networks, 4G and 5G mobile communications, and Wi-Fi
connectivity to create breakthroughs in delivering the
advanced services promised by 5G through a home
infrastructure composed of a mix of technologies.
