Minnesota Disabled Hockey will now be known as Minnesota Diversified Hockey— hockey programs for everyBODY! Minnesota Diversified Hockey will continue to offer the same high qual- ity hockey programs through our five disciplines of Special Hockey, Sled Hockey, Blind Hockey, Warrior Hockey, and coming in 2022, hockey for people with hearing loss. Minnesota Diversified Hockey programs are affiliates of USA Hockey. Our programs help to ensure that hockey truly is for everyBODY by: 1. Providing adaptive equipment to allow individuals with physical disabili- ties the opportunity to play the sport. 2. Modifying rules to allow individuals with intellectual disabilities the ability to participate with their peers. 3. Providing an environment where veterans can play the game they love while joining a supportive community. While all hockey programs are inclusive for individuals with disabilities, Minnesota Diversified Hockey allows athletes to participate with other skaters with similar interests and abilities. The State of Hockey is proud to be the first program in the country for people of all abilities to focus on the person first, both in practice and now in our name.
