Introduction
The Kuwait National Petroleum Company's (KNPC) Al Zour Refinery has an
incredibly complex supply chain and chose Jovix
®
for the largest passive RFID
implementation to date, immediately cementing its status as one of the most
significant uses of passive RFID technology in the history of construction.
Jovix Scope
Over the course of the two-year project, Jovix was used to deploy 1 million passive
RFID tags. To ensure a successful implementation on a project of such scale,
Hexagon devoted nine employees, including two on-site. This passive RFID solution
included track and trace, receiving, picking, issuing and inventory management.
Passive RFID tags were also shipped to 175 global suppliers to increase supply
chain visibility.
