In Nov, the U.S. saw a month-on-month decline of 10% in open job postings but saw a year-
on-year increase of 24% in November 2021.

• National unemployment rate: 4.6 percent, edged down by 0.2 percentage point over the
month and was 2.3 points lower than in Oct 2020.
• Unemployment rates were lower in October in 28 states and the District of Columbia
and stable in 22 states.
Labor Turnover
• National turnover rate in Oct 2021: 4.0% (decrease of 0.2 from prior month)
• National quit rate in Oct 2021: 2.8% (decrease of 0.2 from prior month)
Vaccination requirement
• Percentage of jobs advertised in the US that mention a vaccine mandate has increased
to 8.4% though the figure reaches as high as 14.6% for public sector jobs.
• Wide differences by region with relatively high rates of advertised jobs requiring full
vaccination in Rhode Island, Washington, and the District of Columbia and low rates in
Texas, Wyoming and Montana.
