The LoRa Alliance exhibit will feature product demonstra଀ons and showcases from its event sponsors: Gemtek, ST Microelectonics, Augtek, Mul଀tech, Ac଀lity and Semtech, as well as many sensor solu଀ons from other members. "With the global trac଀on for LPWA networks we are excited to showcase LoRa during the MWC in Shanghai for the first ଀me," said Jaap Groot, vice president of System Business Development for Semtech's Wireless and Sensing Group, and member of the LoRa Alliance marke଀ng commiᘀee. "Asia is an important market for LoRa, and at the event we will demonstrate live solu଀ons for many use cases like metering, supply chain, agriculture and building automa଀on." "The LoRa Alliance is crea଀ng trac଀on globally, and we're proud to bring LoRaWAN™ to Asia," said Geoff Mulligan, chairman of the LoRa Alliance. "As a global standard, we are focused on enabling IoT solu଀ons on all con଀nents, and given the uptake of member par଀cipa଀on in Asia, we will be showcasing many solu଀ons and have a recep଀on, which is open to any company a er registra଀on on the LoRa Alliance website." This has made IoT possible now, with minimal infrastructure investment. Olivier Hersent Chairman & CTO of Actility To encourage the mass adoption of low cost, long range machine-to-machine connectivity, open ecosystems are critical. In addition to IBM's support of the LoRA Alliance we have also released the IBM 'LoRaWAN in C' as open source under the Eclipse Public License. Dr. Thorsten Kramp Master Inventor, IBM Research LoRaWAN has taken inteliLIGHT, our already proven street lighting management solution, to a whole new level. The entire system becomes even easier and faster to install, with a minimal investment, unprecedented reach and unlimited Smart City applications. It truly is a game changer. Mozes Lorand CEO of FLASHNET Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) Networks are an excellent connectivity solution. They complement well with existing M2M business. In order to deploy dedicated solutions and sensors all around the world, an open standard is needed to ensure IoT Challenge Area Members Area WHAT IS LORA?
