The real-user packets are used to evaluate and troubleshoot performance of trading applications, as well as business operations applications, such as Cisco Webex and Google Suite, among others. • The nGenius 3400 series Collectors were deployed in the data centers to focus on global visibility into the NetFlow traffic from the bank's extensive branch environment. This will provide traffic and application information to track top applications in use, top users and conversations by application, and application utilization over time. Planning for capacity changes and budget adjustments is more precise with these trended details. The selection of NETSCOUT's nGeniusONE solution was due in large part to the performance management and service assurance capabilities it supports, which were deemed critical to the bank's IT organization. NETSCOUT's Visibility Without Borders ® strategy with nGeniusONE gave them that one application they desired to deliver analysis, dashboards, workflows, and reporting for both real-user packet monitoring and NetFlow traffic, and from branches, to data center, to AWS cloud. It also seamlessly analyzes all their critical applications, including trading services, software as a service apps like Webex and Google Suite, and web services and portals. NETSCOUT ® was the only solution that could provide this all in a single pane of glass view with analysis for troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance assurance use cases. The list of requirements compiled by the director and his team covered the need to support existing bank applications and services across the infrastructure in place today, as well as support the needs of their expected digital transformations of the future. Their list included: • Application analysis for critical back-office services, including the Google Suite of applications, Cisco Webex collaboration services, Web URLs and portals, as well as services used in their trading environment. • Infrastructure visibility for end-to-end visibility between private data centers, AWS cloud, and their distributed bank branches. • Simultaneous support in single management application for analysis of network packet traffic and NetFlow data. • Performance management use cases and capabilities to address troubleshooting, early warning of emerging issues, utilization trending, capacity planning, end-user experience analysis, in a single analysis platform. Solution in Action Following a thorough evaluation and review of possible monitoring tools, including the legacy provider, the director and his team identified the one solution that satisfied today's challenges as well as those anticipated in their future digital transformations. They selected NETSCOUT's innovative nGeniusONE Service Assurance solution with InfiniStreamNG (ISNG) appliances for packet monitoring and nGenius Flow Collectors for NetFlow.
