About Pinterest Pinterest is a social media service that enables users to save online images, animated GIFs, and videos to their personal "pinboards"—and discover new information by exploring the pinboards of others. The challenge Today's consumers may be savvier than ever, but they still sometimes struggle to find a specific product online—especially if all they have to go on is a single image. Pinterest set out to correct this problem with Pinterest Lens, a visual search feature in the Pinterest app. The AWS solution When users snap a picture of an item that catches their interest, Pinterest Lens provides a wide selection of similar items they can buy with just a few clicks.
