WWW.POTATOGROWER.COM 11 Justin Sorenson Titan Machinery To Purchase Heartland Ag Titan Machinery announced that it has entered into definitive purchase agreements to acquire Heartland Ag Systems, Heartland Solutions and related affiliates, the largest Case IH Application Equipment distributorship in North America providing application-focused solutions for commercial applicators, for an aggregate $110 million, subject to final working capital and other closing adjustments. Heartland Ag Systems traces its roots to 1966 and is the largest Case IH Application Equipment distributorship in North America and one of the leading national distributors for sprayer parts and accessories. Heartland has exclusive distribution agreements across 17 midwestern and northwestern states, supported by 12 retail stores, six of which are within Titan Machinery's existing agriculture footprint, as well as agriculture and related commercial application equipment manufacturing at their Hutchinson, MN, headquarters. Heartland is well diversified with a strong parts and service business that represents approximately 30 percent of full year 2021 revenues and generated pre-tax margins of 4.2 percent, presenting a similar profile to that of Titan Machinery's existing business. Rivulis Expands North American Footprint With New Factory In Tijuana, Mexico Rivulis, a global leader in micro irrigation solutions, announced that it is expanding its North American footprint with the establishment of a new, state-of-the-art factory. The new facility will allow for the needed capacity expansion to better serve the strategic North American agricultural market and also for streamlining its North American manufacturing capacity. The plant will be located a few minutes south of the San Diego border, in Tijuana, Baja California, and a few miles from Rivulis North American Headquarters in San Diego, CA, where Rivulis will maintain its Management, Quality, Global Engineering and R&D teams. The plant is ideally located to address Rivulis key markets in USA, Canada and Mexico. The new Rivulis factory is central to the Rivulis business and global footprint strategy and applies the same high quality standards and innovative manufacturing processes. www.rivulis.com Nathan Bender Assumes Role Of President At Tasteful Selections Nathan Bender, a 16-year agribusiness veteran and co-founder of baby potato category leader Tasteful Selections, has assumed the role of President at the organization he helped establish in 2010. Nathan, Tasteful Selections COO since January 2019, will succeed his father, Bob Bender, as President. Bender will remain with Tasteful Selections as Chief Executive Officer. As part of Tasteful Selections' comprehensive succession plan, when Bob steps down as CEO in 2023, he will remain on the Board of Directors. Bob will also oversee special projects in addition to commencing an advisory role. The Benders are Nebraska natives. Nathan earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness from the University of Nebraska. In 2004, Bob Bender relocated from the Cornhusker state to California's San Joaquin Valley. In 2007, Nathan joined his father in starting the baby potato operation. Tasteful Selections has grown to more than 22,000 baby potato acres from its 250- acre humble beginnings. The baby potatoes are grown in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Washington, Idaho and Oregon, as well as California. Red, gold and purple offerings are packed and distributed in Arvin, CA, near Bakersfield. Prior to becoming COO, Nathan served as Plant Manager, Director of Plant Operations and VP of Plant Operations for Tasteful Selections. In his new role, Nathan will be transitioning to have full- company oversight of all day-to-day activities. Dilution Solutions Welcomes Justin Sorenson As Technical Sales Rep Dilution Solutions LLC, with corporate offices in Clearwater, FL, has announced new team member Justin Sorenson as a Technical Sales Representative. Sorenson brings to Dosatron/Dilution Solutions more than eight years of experience as an irrigation technician, and six years in irrigation retail. He takes pride in finding the best solution for his customers' needs and providing excellent customer service. "Problems often present themselves as challenges," he said. "Challenges are often solved with experience, knowledge and teamwork. Let's solve some problems."
