3 #HERSTORY Welcome, and thank you for joining us. On behalf of the SEI Women's Network (SWN) Board of Directors, we want to welcome you to our 9th annual Leadership Summit. This year, the SEI Women's Network is celebrating our 15th anniversary. In light of this milestone and the tremendous talent of our board, we have decided to write this year's #HERSTORY magazine introductory letter from our entire board and recognize those—past and present—who have brought us to where we are today. Our current SEI Women's Network Board is made up of a small but mighty group of individuals across our global offices. But we are not the Women's Network. You are! There would not be an SEI Women's Network without all of you. We cannot thank you enough for all of your support, for showing up time and time again, and continuing to invest your time and energy to drive change and help us create an even better future for the next generation. To celebrate our 15th year, we elected to go back to our roots for motivation. The theme of this year's summit and the #HERSTORY magazine is "Educate. Inspire. Connect." The three primary goals of the SEI Women's Network are to: • Encourage and educate women to develop the necessary personal and professional management skills to succeed. • Inspire and assist women in identifying opportunities and overcoming obstacles through the personal and professional experiences of other women. • Provide women with opportunities to connect and build relationships for personal effectiveness and professional growth within the organization. These have been our grounding principles for 15 years, and we will continue to uphold them for all SEI employees and everyone that we engage with. Over the next two days, you will have the opportunity to hear from and interact with an incredible lineup of speakers, and each content hour is tagged to our theme. We hope this allows you to go into each session with specific goals in mind and helps reignite the power and purpose of the SEI Women's Network. In closing, cheers to the next 15 years! We are looking forward to exciting things ahead. As a group, be fearless while challenging the norm, speaking up, and lifting others while you climb.
