Byrne Software Technologies offers IT consulting, software design and
programming from concept to delivery based on the goals of its clients, who
range from small, privately-held businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Since 2018, Byrne has partnered with Kahua to grow its professional
services offerings with facility owners and construction companies. The
agile construction project management information solution (PMIS) conforms
to customers' needs, allowing them to modify the platform to their specific
business processes.
When CBRE – the real estate investment company that was overseeing Bank of America's (BofA) slate of construction
projects – selected Kahua, there was a need to migrate data from 2,000+ builds. The project data was stored in its former
legacy system, and all data needed to be catalogued, organized and migrated into a program level hierarchical structure
within Kahua.
Byrne was brought in to work with BofA's program manager to support this effort over a 60-day period of performance.
Utilizing Kahua's modern API, Byrne was able to easily perform the migration, which allowed the BofA team to complete
the delivery and reduce the economic impact on the implementation. The time required to manually upload documents into
Kahua was not manageable, from a cost and time perspective. Byrne provided a service that allowed for the import of large
amounts of documents into quantifiable amount of time and scope.
The team successfully migrated all documentation into an enterprise program hierarchy within Kahua's File Manager, where
all documents are now logically indexed. This provides simple navigation and visibility into the overall BofA capital projects
portfolio.
The BofA team now has a solution that reduces the effort required to locate relevant project documentation across the
portfolio, which significantly reduces risk by having better governance surrounding project documentation. There are now
300 Kahua users working to sustain and grow real estate projects across the globe.
