The majority of growth has been in the Greater Adelaide area. ‾ The Greater Adelaide area has an unemployment rate of 3.7% compared to the Rest of South Australia at 4.3%. ‾ 14% of employment in South Australia is in the Public Sector. 32% are Part –Time compared with 35% in the Private Sector. ‾ There were 25K vacancies across South Australia of which ~12% were in the Public Sector. ‾ Year on Year inflation to the December quarter was 8.6% in Adelaide which is higher than the Australian Capital City weighted average of 7.8%.
