Education Background and Business Experience: Year of Birth: 1962 Professional designations held: CPA Formal education after high school: Alfred Pierce earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. Business Background: Mr. Pierce works in the Oaks office. Alfred Pierce serves as the Managing Director for the Advisory Team where his team is responsible for delivering ongoing advice to hundreds of institutional clients worldwide. He manages SEI's delivery of integrated investment strategy, funding policy, asset allocation and plan design advice to SEI's retirement, nonprofit, and asset pool clients. Alfred Pierce began his career at SEI in 2003. Prior to his employment with SEI, he spent 15 years at Wachovia Securities working in corporate finance, merger and acquisition and capital-raising activities. Additionally, he has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in public accounting. Alfred Pierce is recognized as an expert in designing liability driven investing strategies, asset allocation models and managing the impact investment decisions have on organizational finances. He has presented at a variety of industry events and has been interviewed by numerous publications including Reuters, Dow Jones, Financial Times, Pension and Investments, and Investment Management Weekly. Disciplinary Information: SIMC is required to disclose any material facts regarding any legal or disciplinary events that would materially impact a client's evaluation of Alfred Pierce. No events have occurred that are applicable to this item. Other Business Activities: SIMC is required to disclose any outside business activity or occupation for compensation that could potentially create a conflict of interest with clients. Alfred Pierce is not actively engaged in any such activities. Additional Compensation: Members of the Institutional Group receive a salary and regular incentive compensation (which may include stock options), they may also receive event compensation based on SIMC's receipt of new assets through client referrals. Supervision: Institutional management is supervised by Paul Klauder, Executive Vice President and Institutional Group Team Leader.
