SEI Investments Company (NASDAQ: SEIC) is a publicly traded, diversified financial services company that includes several wholly owned subsidiaries. SEIC is a Pennsylvania corporation that was incorporated in 1968 and launched its initial public offering in 1981. Approximately 25.4% of outstanding SEIC shares are held by employees, officers, and directors of the company (as of March 2022). SEI is a wholly owned subsidiary of SEIC that provides investment management and advisory services and is a federally registered investment adviser with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. SEI's Institutional Group provides investment management and advisory services, the core of this proposal, through SEI. Affiliate SEIC has a 38.7% minority ownership interest in LSV Asset Management (LSV), which also serves as a manager in a small number of SEI's investment strategies. In 1994, SEIC provided seed capital to help LSV commence operations and entered a relationship with an ownership interest that has generally declined over time. As a manager within some of our vehicles, LSV is subject to the same diligent monitoring, oversight and selection criteria as other managers. In addition to SEI, SEIC has a number of wholly owned subsidiaries that are regulated by government authority and self-regulatory organizations. These subsidiaries include: SEI Investments Company* SEI Investments Distribution Co. (SIDCO) Broker-dealer registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) SEI Trust Company (STC) State-chartered bank subject to oversight by the Pennsylvania Department of Banking SEI Private Trust Company (SPTC) Limited purpose federal savings association regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency SEI Investments Management Corporation (SEI)** Federally registered investment adviser (RIA) with the SEC under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 *As a large, complex global company, SEIC has many relationships with outside firms. Upon request, we would be happy to provide a full list of these firms.
