57 I L T A N E T . O R G As you can see many of our existing volunteer committees have now been aligned under their respective councils: Constituents Council and Education Council. Volunteers have always been a vital component of ILTA since the association was first started. A new Volunteer Council and 2 new volunteer subcommittees reinforce the associations' continuing commitment to support the Volunteer Structure. We have some other new committees being created. Under the Constituents Council, there will be a new Engagement Committee and a new Membership Committee. Under the Education Council, there will be a new Events Committee. As these committees come online - there will possibly be new teams created under them as the organization identifies new areas that need support. Be sure to keep watching the Open Positions section of the Volunteer Page and raise your hand for positions that are of interest to you. More overall information on the journey to a new volunteer structure can be found here: https://www. iltanet.org/about/nivs. Micro Volunteer Opportunities New to Volunteering? Why not start with a micro- volunteer opportunity? A micro volunteer opportunity is a great option for those with short time capacity or those who want to see what volunteering is all about. Below is a table with examples of various micro volunteering opportunities throughout the year . After reviewing the chart above and finding a few areas you think would be of interest – you'll want to log into the website and update your Volunteer Profile so, we can tap you on the shoulder when those micro volunteering opportunities arise. We also send out general emails on some of the larger volunteer opportunities as they arise. Opting into that email subscription on your email preferences page means you will be on the list to receive those emails.
