Common applications Corporate and asset management Climate intelligence helps organizations address and prepare for environmental regulatory requirements and guides Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives, like the Task Force on Climate- related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting. ClimateDesk provides climate data insights that are essential to understanding the physical risk of a changing climate on assets. Energy industry Utilities and oil and gas companies experience significant weather and climate risks to their assets. ClimateDesk provides industry- leading, long-term forecasts months to years into the future, allowing energy customers to discern if weather extremes will be more or less common in the areas where they operate. Agriculture industry Climate change's effect on weather patterns poses a threat to crops, and changes to the growing season and the hydrological cycles are occurring at an increasingly rapid pace. Gain agricultural intelligence about estimated crop yields and better understand the global supply of resources by combining Maxar's high-resolution satellite imagery and ClimateDesk insights. Commodity trading Traders need reliable access to key market information and climate is a fundamental driver to price discovery for supply and demand mechanics.
