SECTION 5
Gaps Between Worker Needs and
Company Offerings
Research by The Mom Project found that contingent workers (a majority of whom
were parents in The Mom Project's survey) are looking for more than just a
paycheck. By far, the largest gaps are in making contingent workers feel included
and supported: More than 80% of workers said feeling included is important, but
only 43% of managers gave high ratings to their companies' capabilities in that
area. When it came to feeling supported, 72% of workers said it was important,
but only 47% of managers said their companies were providing the necessary
support.
