In the February quarter, there were 941K people employed which is ~69K higher than in February 2020. The growth is mainly from the Private Sector in the Greater Adelaide region. ‾ The Greater Adelaide area has an unemployment rate of 4% compared to the Rest of South Australia at 4.7%. ‾ There were 23K vacancies across South Australia of which ~13.5% were in the Public Sector. ‾ Health & Social Care has become the largest industry employer with 28% more employed in the industry compared to February 2020. ‾ Year on Year inflation to the March quarter was 7.9% in Adelaide which is higher than the Australian Capital City weighted average of 7.0%.
