Compared to last quarter, employment in the Public Sector fell by 6K or ~10%. ‾ 27% of Public Sector workers are Part-Time while the figure is 37% in the Private Sector. ‾ There were 7.7K vacancies across Tasmania of which ~12% were in the Public Sector. ‾ The two top industries for employment, Health Care & Social Assistance and Construction & Manufacturing have seen the biggest growth in employment since February 2020. ‾ Year on Year inflation to the March quarter was 6.9% in Hobart which is similar to the Australian Capital City weighted average of 7.0%.
