Historical data is imperative when planning your next
project. You want to see what has been done and
what the challenges were to avoid repeating mistakes.
Too often this data resides with your contractors or
subs or other point solutions within your organization.
Without ownership of this information, you are
left in the dark. Moving forward, you cannot
create any benchmarks for how your projects are
performing, measure success or forecast any costs or
maintenance for the future.
Kahua's program management information system
(PMIS) application sharing capabilities allow owner
organizations to own their own data so information is
stored securely and can be easily accessed, prioritized
and summarized as needed in a single solution.
Kahua's Snapshot application allows you to create an
archive of data, records, files and attachments within
a project from anywhere within Kahua at any time.
Snapshots are saved and accessed in the hierarchy of
where the project is saved in Kahua. In addition, the
organized file structure allows all project records to
have their own folder with all related documents and
attachments.
Data can be quickly and easily downloaded to a user's
desktop computer or server at any time for a variety of
purposes, including:
Data is critical during any program for decision
making, accountably and planning. The data from any
program is imperative when maintaining the structure
moving forward and the planning of new programs.
For owner organizations to "own" their data, they
must be intentional when selecting their construction
management system. It makes sense to invest in a
PMIS that can support this effort to hold tight to this
vital information.
