WHITE PAPER Building an Agile Future mrcy.com 4 COMMON MODULE SYSTEM (CMS) X08 An open standards-based rugged server platform As part of the Mercury Processing Platform, the Common Module System (CMS) X08 is the first commercially available server compatible with OCP open edge to meet U.S. government MIL-STD-rugged requirements. CMS X08 provides the density benefits of a blade server without the drawback of vendor lock-in. At the time of publication, it is the most rugged OCP-based server on the market. Products like CMS X08 are a vital step toward a new U.S. defense ecosystem that is modular, open architecture, agile and common.
