BAYFRONT BRE AKERS KENT ISLAND HIGH SCHOOL IS LEADING A CLAY TARGET MOVEMENT IN MARYLAND In the Spring of 2022, Kent Island High School became the first public high school in the state of Maryland to participate in the USA High School Clay Target League. It's been a huge hit with students from all backgrounds, including varsity athletes of other sports along with kids who weren't involved in any school activities. "I think that is the greatest asset to this League," head coach Sean Connolly said. "Everyone participates the same amount. No benchwarmers, no waterboys." Junior Ellie Beamer loves the atmosphere. "It may seem like an individual sport, but we always have each other's backs. The team is there to pump each other up and we celebrate together with high fives and encouraging words after each hit."
