DENVER CATHOLIC | APR-MAY 2024
On a sunny afternoon in March, a group of extraordinary people who share a mission to be selfless servants
of Christ, shared Holy Communion and a lunch with two spiritual leaders from the archdiocese.
This appreciation event served to recognize the volunteer work of past Disciples of the Month and gave them
the opportunity to meet His Eminence J. Francis Cardinal Stafford , Bishop Jorge Rodriguez, and each other.
For the past two years, the Archbishop's Catholic Appeal has named 16 special individuals to be "Disciples
of the Month" and now this program has been adopted by parishes, like Light of the World in Littleton.
Light of the World features a parishioner in its bulletin who exemplifies what it means to spread the Gospel
and serve others with love.
Your parish can do the same. Ask an exceptional volunteer: What has helped you form as a disciple? What
gifts has God called you to use? What role have the sacraments played in your life as a disciple?
If you know someone who is uniquely spreading the Gospel and deserves special recognition, please share
his or her story with the archdiocese at give.archden.org/nominate and your nominee may become a 2024
Archbishop's Catholic Appeal "Disciple of the Month."
