The Big Shows As we approach the end of the 2024 SCORE World Desert Challenge season, we attend multiple industry shows which offer an indication of new parts, vehicles, and cool things that are coming. From our perspective, these events also indicate that SCORE Off-Road Racing continues to grow among the general public, and with industry products and vehicle manufacturers who want to be a part of the off-road culture. Our focus on the Ford F150- Raptor and the many accessories and upgrades available for these vehicles, is an example of our industry's continued growth. The Ford Raptor epitomizes the ultimate off-road truck that can be owned by anyone who can afford one, but is also for those desiring to head into the desert and enjoy off-roading at the highest level, as an enthusiast. The many new products we saw for these vehicles reconfirms the truck's status within the off-road community. Now, with Bronco Raptors and Raptor Rangers in the mix, these vehicles are also a part of the off-road and SCORE Baja cultures. Let's not forget that the Ford Raptor was first built upon the premise that it was tough enough to race in the SCORE Baja 1000, and every subsequent "Raptor" model has continued reaching the goal of being "Baja Proven." Many of the latest off-road vehicles and aftermarket parts are finding it is important for them to also be proven in the Baja desert, and want a presence within SCORE. Whether it’s to test reliability, capability, or performance in the toughest races in the world, it means more now to be "Baja Proven" for real off-road enthusiasts to consider any serious off-road aftermarket performance product for their own vehicles. While these events showcase the newest products and technologies for off-road racers and enthusiasts, the biggest off-road event of the year, the 57th SCORE Baja 1000, has just ended. Congrats to Luke McMillin and Rob MacCachren for their Overall and SCORE Trophy Truck win. Although we had to finish this issue during the race, we are working to bring SCORE Journal readers full in-depth coverage of the SCORE Baja 1000, along with exclusive interviews from winning racers and teams, amazing photos, videos, and everything that makes this event the highlight of the 2024 season. Look for it in the next issue.
