2024 OFF-ROAD EXPO The Best Of The Off-Road Industry Comes Together in One Show By SCORE Journal Staff If you happened to be driving by SoCal’s Fairplex in Pomona around the end of September, you would have seen an ocean of off-road enthusiasts converging on the annual Off-Road Expo presented by General Tire. For more than 20 years the show has been the largest gathering of the off-road community to see the latest products and vehicles that represent the growth and innovations within the marketplace. This is also where it’s common to see people walking away with a cartload of accessories for their UTVs, Jeeps, SUVs, or off-road trucks. Many of the manufacturers had their products available for sale among the various retailers at the event, including Off-Road Warehouse, Rugged Radios, 4Wheel Parts, and PCI Race Radios, to name a few, all with great deals on new and existing products. Along the many off-road vehicles on display, our friends at Terra Crew had Fairplex’s Building 6 filled with a variety of finished and unfinished trucks and pre-runners. Some of their vehicles, including Darren Parsons’ Ford F100 and Cole Sanada’s F100  pre-runners, were on display in the KMC Wheel booth. Another member of Terra Crew, Rob Lindsay, is the owner of RJ Fab whose vehicles always get lots of attention in these shows, as well as in SCORE Journal Magazine. Lindsay had one of his latest creations in the KC HiLites booth that also drew numerous onlookers to see the incredible details from the engine compartment to the suspension system. Other vehicles on display included several that race in SCORE-International, including Concrete Motorsports’ SCORE Trophy Truck, the 7x Honda motorcycle of Justin Morgan and Tyler Lynn, Brittney Meyer’s UTV, Cameron Steele’s #16 SCORE Trophy Truck, and one of Jimco’s SCORE TT Spec trucks.   One other interesting vehicle of note at the Off-Road Expo was Troy Herbst’s UTV which was on display in the King Shocks booth. This UTV was built to resemble the famous Class 1 Land Shark Truggy that dominated SCORE Baja racing with Herbst and Larry Roeseler behind the wheel. The UTV had a similar nose cone as the original vehicle and with a painted shark all done in the original red, white, and blue colors. Outside the halls, the exhibition area had numerous trucks and UTVs doing donuts and jumping over ramps to the applause of the large audience. There was also an Overlanding section with many vehicle accessories on display showcasing everything from roof-mounted tents and cargo racks to camp lighting and cooking accessories for when you’re out on the trail. While this year’s Off-Road Expo had a great collection of manufacturers, vehicle builders, and race vehicles, it also showcased the growth of the off-road industry and the diverse make-up of enthusiasts that can range from desert racing, rock crawling, Overlanding, UTVs, and much more.
