This community for seniors 62 and older, located in the heart of southwest Denver, is now filling its 63 studio and one-bedroom apartments. Like many Denver residents, her family sold their home before the real estate boom, making it increasingly difficult to find affordable rental options in the metro area. As a result, Ellen has spent years moving from couch to couch at her children's homes. Her challenges were compounded by a thyroid cancer diagnosis that, although now in remission, required extensive medical appointments and chemotherapy. At this stage of her life, having a stable and comfortable place to live is crucial to her health and well-being. One day, Ellen's brother drove by the All Saints Parish campus construction on Federal Boulevard. Noticing the contact information to apply, he encouraged Ellen to reach out. She applied and, within a few weeks, received the good news that she had been approved to move in. At the opening ceremony for All Saints Apartments on October 24, Ellen stood proudly at the podium as one of the first residents, sharing her story and highlighting the importance of affordable housing for seniors. "When they told me I'd gotten in, I was so happy. This location is close to my doctor's office too. I am grateful to Catholic Charities and God's timing," she said.
