Recommendations released:
• Technical Recommendation TR010 1.0.0 Roaming Hub
describes various aspects related to the implementation
and operation of Roaming Hubs, in the form of a LoRa
Alliance
®
technical recommendation.
• Technical Recommendation TR011 1.0.0 Architecture
and Requirements of LoRaWAN
®
Testbed with IPv6 Ad-
aptation for DLMS UA describes how to build a testbed for
IPv6 over LoRaWAN use especially for the DMLS UA case.
Regional Parameters released:
• Regional Parameter RP2-1.0.4 describes the LoRaWAN
®
Regional Parameters for different regulatory regions
worldwide. This version added support for Kazakhstan
and Zimbabwe, amended and clarified a variety of band
references, added required channel hopping, enabled use
of single-channel gateways, and added support for relay.
As technical work continues to evolve the LoRaWAN standard, it also supports LoRaWAN end-device implementors by offering
trainings and being available to field questions. Special efforts were made to support implementors in 2022 on the topics of
end-device implementation, FUOTA, Codec API, Relay, IPv6, and LR-FHSS.
Looking forward, new task forces have been initiated to focus on additional areas of interest including satellite-based communication,
enhancing MAC via CSMA, claiming end-devices on the Join Server, transporting GS1 identifiers, inter-network device migration,
and a study on proprietary stacks.
