Such disabling injuries can significantly impact the worker's ability to do their job. A well-designed workplace combined with effective workplans, policies and programs lead to the prevention of slips, trips, and falls. A robust housekeeping program, including prompt clean-up of spills and maintaining obstruction- free walkways can be an important means to mitigate the risk. Involving key stakeholders, including affected workers, can go a long way to ensure safe conditions and practices are developed, applied, and maintained. Slipping hazards in walk-in freezers are a safety concern due to the accumulation of ice, frost, and condensation on the floors. These conditions can create slippery surfaces, increasing the risk of falls and injuries. It is essential to maintain a clean and dry environment by regularly removing ice buildup and using floor squeegees to direct water into drains.
