Workplace Violence & Harassment can happen
in any workplace. Everyone should have the
opportunity to go to work without fear of
violence or harassment.
The demanding and unpredictable nature of
the grocery store sector can lead to workplace
harassment as well as workplace violence
(assault and robbery) which can cause mental
stress and mental health impacts to workers.
Keeping all workers healthy and safe can be
achieved through effective workplace policies
and procedures, strong communication and
training strategies and by actively fostering an
inclusive environment.
