2024 A Season Of Growth I n this issue we celebrate another history making season for the SCORE World Desert Championship series. A total of 998 competitors challenged and overcame the grueling 2,057.75 race miles of the 2024 season. At the beginning of the season, The SCORE World Desert Championship was coming off the amazing 2023 SCORE 50th Anniversary celebration season’s amazing growth, reach, and impact. This included the first time ever, a reverse course SCORE Baja 1000 La Paz to Ensenada Peninsula race. The great news is that the 2024 Race season’s momentum actually grew across all measurable areas gaining even more market share in our strength as an operating race series. In addition, there was also dramatic growth in exposure for the SCORE World Desert Championship series, its sponsors, participating teams and from the outside media entities who covered the race series. Major Impact Programs That Made The 2024 Season So Successful, Were The Following: New Qualifying Live Streaming Production added an entirely new racer and fan favorite content program that now has a huge following per race. New Timing System Introduced fans to greater detailed information for SCORE race operations, team information, and for the viewing experience. The addition of Nelson Ranch location as part of SCORE race activities, provided a great location for SCORE race operations, Live Stream production, and an amazing location for fans to experience some great race action. SCORE-International.com website expanded content programs and delivered a record audience and impressions along with new analytics to provide to the sponsor base and web ad programs. SCORE Social Media – Continued amazing growth with the SCORE social media team now operating with great direction. The team put in the time and effort to grow not only the SCORE race coverage audience, but the non-stop day to day SCORE activities. A major threshold was also attained during the SCORE Baja 1000 with a single social media post exceeding 1 million LIKES! Live Stream Production hit its stride in 2024 with a seasoned team directing this valuable asset for SCORE races. The ability to integrate up to 100 live stream feeds from race teams, in the field video, social media feeds and drones. This all culminated in another tremendous audience growth this pasts season, which will continuew for the 2025 season. Surviving Baja Docuseries Launch – New SCORE audience growth program was launched across fast channels, TUBI, Apple TV and Roku in September 2024. This docuseries focused behind-the-scenes during the historic 2023 SCORE 50th anniversary season. The initial four episodes, each onehour in length program, has moved into coverage of the 2024 season, with four new additional episodes covering all the action and stories that will be available this Spring.
