A GREENER BAJA SCORE And Environmental Groups Work To ReForest Areas of Baja A s a result of a survey done after the 2023 SCORE Baja 1000 SCORE International carried out a reforestation program in coordination with representatives of the Mexican Federal Environmental Secretary. In alignment with an Environmental Impact Manifest (MIA), a legal and ecological requirement that is met in every SCORE race, federal authorities and SCORE determined that for every impacted area, trees be planted in order to reinforce a reforestation program in Baja California. After the historical first-time La Paz to Ensenada Peninsula run in 2023, and following environmental guidelines, 200 Mesquite and Palo Verde trees were planted in the community of Punta Prieta in the new municipality of San Quintin. Along with a wide ecological prevention campaign on various fronts racers and fans are encouraged to protect the environment. After analysis of the past SCORE BAJA 1000, another similar reforestation program will take place in the following weeks in coordination between the Mexican Federal Environmental Secretary and SCORE International.
