HERO Racing Teams With Malcolm Smith Motorsports HERO Racing and the 1x Unlimited Pro Moto team of Arturo Salas Jr., Ciaran Naran, Shane Logan and Jack Mentha, announced they will be working with Alexander Smith of Malcolm Smith Motorsports for the remainder of the 2025 season. “Malcom Smith Motorsports will be an integral part of our team as we prepare to defend not only our 1x plate with SCORE International but also our N1 plate at Best in the Desert,” said team Manager Giovanni Spinali. “HERO racing could not have asked for a better partner than the legendary family of Malcolm Smith Motorsports. As we all know, racing in Baja started with Malcolm Smith. Now 50+ years later they are still involved in helping Hero Racing succeed at the highest level. We are both very involved in giving back to the people in Baja.” For this SCORE Baja 500 the HERO team will be helping out the Casa Hogar Cañon Buena Vista orphanage on the outskirts of Ensenada. Perry McNeil Grand Marshal of 57th BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 500 Longtime off-road racing legend Perry McNeil, owner of McNeil Racing, is the Grand Marshal of the 57th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500. Perry and his son Mike have been long-time off-road racers and vehicle builders. Perry McNeil has won four Class wins in the SCORE Baja 1000 races and finished second in the SCORE Baja 2000. He also has a business that has lasted more than 50-years, manufacturing high-quality fiberglass bodies and panels for off-road racers and enthusiasts.
