The Frost Win Back-To-Back Walter Cup Championships

That's certainly what it felt like for the Minnesota Frost, who com-
pleted the defense of their championship title this past May, running
it back for the second straight year in just year two of existence for
the Professional Women's Hockey League.
The similarities were evident from the end of the regular season.
Like in 2023-24, Minnesota squeaked their way into the postseason
as the No. 4 seed after an up and down year, only to eventually raise
the Cup in St. Paul once again.
"It was very similar," said goaltender Maddie Rooney, whose 33 saves
in Game 4's 2-1 overtime win was her fifth straight postseason victory.
"But the culture was similar to last year, too. Around the locker room,
